This is Jackelyn Chala she is 25 years old and is a community leader. She teaches 3 times a week bible study to children between the ages of 7 and 10 years old. She also volunteers with a non-profit organization that promotes equal rights for Haitian descendants and she carries out 1 monthly workshop to prevent domestic violence in the family and to support victims of domestic violence.
She takes care of both of her senior parents. Jackelyn’s mother has Parkinson disease and her father is sick too.
After completing the B.E.A.D program she will have enough money to pay off her debts and then, she will start a small clothing store business from her home.
